However, the one big difference between aluminum blinds and wood slats is that aluminum mini blinds can be damaged by scraping. So make sure to always use a cleaning solution on these slats to keep them looking shiny and new. You can also use a hair dryer to blow away any of the dust or dirt that gets attached to the slats.

However, if you are in the habit of cleaning your window treatment every month, then you should seriously consider purchasing a window treatment made from a material like aluminum, as this is the easiest material to clean and maintain. Cleaning your window treatment once a month will ensure that your mini blinds continue to look like new even after they have experienced years of exposure in the elements.
Another advantage of aluminum mini blinds is that they are very durable. They do not easily wear out when exposed to harsh sunlight and other elements. This means that you can pass them on from one generation to another. Now, there is no need to worry about the maintenance of your window treatments and all you have to do is dust off those slats, let them air dry and then wipe them down with a damp cloth.
